Regional Director, Social Enterprise Operations

Bernard Stromberg is a Social Enterprise Leader and Business Operations Strategist with more than 25 years of experience guiding teams, optimizing processes, and driving organizational growth across both the private and nonprofit sectors. 

Currently serving as Regional Director, Social Enterprise Operations at the Center for Employment Opportunities, Bernard oversees operations across Upstate New York and Pennsylvania, leading a diverse team of thirty four professionals in advancing workforce development for justice-impacted individuals.

Drawing on an extensive background in business management, Bernard expertly aligns staffing, budgeting, and fleet operations to maximize efficiency and impact. He has developed innovative systems for training, inventory control, and performance tracking, reinforcing CEO’s mission through operational excellence and social innovation.

Prior to his current role, Bernard managed regional and local social enterprise programs within CEO, led the business transformation of small landscaping and construction firms into large multi-site operations, and held senior financial and corporate development posts. 

Bernard holds an MBA in Business Management from Eastern University and a B.S. in Psychology from Saint Joseph’s University. He is also certified in Psychological First Aid, Crisis Counseling, and CPR/AED. A long-time youth mentor, Bernard brings the same dedication to personal wellness, mindfulness, and community engagement that he applies to his professional life.
