Alicia Stokes serves as Director of Talent at the Center for Employment Opportunities (CEO), where she leads national recruiting and compensation strategy across more than 30 sites nationwide. She partners with leaders to build equitable hiring systems, strengthen internal leadership pathways, and align compensation practices with CEO’s mission and long-term sustainability.
Alicia joined CEO in 2019 as a Business Account Manager in Detroit, partnering with employers to create sustainable pathways to permanent employment. Prior to CEO, she served as an Employment Specialist, building a workforce development program from the ground up to support individuals transitioning out of homelessness. Across every role, her work has centered on one throughline: creating access, restoring dignity, and building systems that help people move forward.
Her transition into Talent Acquisition was not a shift, but as she describes it, a purpose. Alicia has grown within CEO as a Recruiter, Senior Recruiter, Talent Acquisition Manager, and now Director leading with purpose, developing high-performing talent leaders, and advancing systems that ensure opportunity is intentional, representative, and transformative.
